He initially worked in academia as an assistant professor of radiology and cardiovascular surgery at the University of Texas Medical School, Houston. With a dozen peer-reviewed publications he is well versed in all aspects of Interventional Radiology but has particular interests in liver disease and the complications of cirrhosis and their interventional management.
